The First Vic-President of Afghanistan Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim warned about ignoring the Mujahidin in the upcoming round of presidency and said, ignoring Mujahidin is the resume of civil war in Afghanistan.
In addition to counting Dr. Zalmai Khalilzad and brothers of President Karzai as U.S. citizens, he said that by giving back the U.S. identity, they could not be removed from U.S. citizenship and candidate themselves for presidency.
He added that national consensus is what the Mujahidin speak about, “not the consensus of Dr. Zalmai Khalilzad and Karzai’s brothers”.
Previously Hamid Karzai has given a plan for national consensus for the best presidential candidates for the upcoming presidential election, and it has faced variety of reactions about it.
He has given speech in an official conference, where all the governors of 34 provinces were present, he declared that any team that win the upcoming election, ignore the team of the current government and Mujahidin, the Mujahidin will hold weapons and will climb to mountains.
Marshal Fahim in his less experienced statements, which he counted as the reason for ignoring Mujahidin after 2014 was that in last 11 years the current government tried to remove the leaders of Mujahidin from politics.
In addition to pointing that the Mujahidin have enough weapons and are not fully disarmed, the first vice-president warned that the transition may not take place easily.
He also said that the main problem between the Afghan Government and Pakistan is the Durand Line and said that the government is ready to find out a reasonable way and solve the issue through negotiation.
According to him, it is said that the Pakistan Government is distributing money and identity cards in some parts of some provinces located in the border with Pakistan, and wants to occupy Afghan land.
Earlier the delegations of the Wolesi Jirga that have gone to Goshta District for investigation of war between the Afghanistan and Pakistan, they informed that the Pakistan Government has started distribution of Pakistani identity cards inside Goshta District. Based on investigations done by the delegations, it is said that for last few years, Pakistan has given Pakistani Identity Cards to the residents of Kunar River’s Bank and there was money given to some local tribal elders.
The politicians believe that distribution of Pakistani Identity Cards and money, to the residents, is part of long-term projects for merging Kunar’s River to Pakistan.  Still the Afghan Government did not show any reaction about it.
Marshal Fahim suggested that both the countries should negotiate with the mediation of U.S. and U.N.
Yesterday’s speech of Marshal Fahim was given in such a situation that some of the presidential candidates are working on making their own teams, and the authorities of the current government are concerned about their role in the upcoming government of the country.
